Cristina Trujillo

Strong, Hard-Working, Loving. These words describe Cristina Matilde Trujillo, who passed away at the age of 41 on June 28th, 2011 in West Valley City. She lived in West Pointe with her 5 children Jerry, Citlali, Andres, Marco and Italia, and her grandson Zuriel.

Cristina was born on March 31st, 1970 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Manuel and Angelina Vorher. In addition to her older brother Carlos (Vicky) and his family, she left behind a large extended family that all grieve at her untimely death. Cristina attended West High School where she had a love of gymnastics. After graduation she went to Salt Lake Community College and the LDS Business School. Cristina was a business owner in multiple ways, running a Mexican candy store at the Salt Lake Indoor Swap Meet and offices in West Valley and Ogden where she sold insurance and bail bonds. She also helped out the community by being on the Salt Lake City Police Civilian Review Board. When she wasn’t working she would either spend time with her children at home or go out dancing with her friends. Cristina was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend who did all she could to help the people she cared for.

A trust fund has been set up to accept donations for her children through Wells Fargo under the name Vorher Trujillo Family Trust Fund. A viewing will be held Tuesday July 5th, 2011 at the Redwood Memorial Park & Mortuary on 6500 S. Redwood Rd. West Jordan from 6-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held the next day, July 6th at Abundant Life Assembly of God on 410 N. Main St. in North Salt Lake from 10 a.m. to noon. On-line condolences at
